Entering the 1,500 acre (607 hectare) demesne at Mount Juliet takes you into a different world.

Passing through lush rolling parkland you arrive at Mount Juliet Conrad. Mount Juliet House, which features 32 luxury bedrooms is a magnificent Georgian mansion, named after the wife of the original owner. The house, in a picture postcard setting on the river Nore, evokes a feeling of graciousness... a haven of peace so rarely found in today's busy world. Close to the house is the Hunters Yard with 18 Club bedrooms, is the original hunting stables of the estate, and the 10 Rose Garden Suites, where guests can spend time relaxing or enjoying world-class sporting activities. In the Mount Juliet guest book, one guest aptly sums up the charm of the estate by saying: "The world should always be full of wonderful surprises - like Mount Juliet!"

Outstanding service, friendly staff, delightful cuisine and superb accommodation... all combine to create a legend. The elegant Georgian house, surrounded by 1,500 acres of lush Irish pastures and rolling woodlands provide a rare and beautiful setting for a memorable experience. The estate offers a variety of exhilarating sporting opportunities. Guests can explore the estate on bicycles or on foot. A visit to Ballylinch Stud farm, an integral part of estate life, will help to understand and perhaps share the age-old Irish love of horses. The Mount Juliet Equestrian Centre offers basic tuition, trail riding, cross country jumping and show jumping and will tailor make instruction programmes to the rider’s specific needs. The Clay Target and Archery Academy provides a challenge to marksmen and would-be Robin Hoods. Salmon and trout fishing is available on the two fine rivers which run through the estate - The River Nore and the Kings River. Tuition and equipment is provided for all sports. And if all this is not enough, Mount Juliet is a golfers paradise with the Jack Nicklaus signature 18 hole Golf Course, host to the World Golf Championship - The American Express Golf Championships of 2002 and home to the Irish Opens of 1993-1995. Also available is a unique 18-hole, par 53 putting course and extensive practice facilities. Those who prefer to remain indoors can choose between the snooker room in the main house or the stylish Leisure Centre and Spa in the nearby Hunters Yard, which features a 15m, heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and full Beauty Salon.

There are 32 bedrooms at Mount Juliet House, including two presidential suites. Each room is individually designed, in keeping with the concept of a private, family home. Each room is also named, drawing inspiration from the history of the state. To compliment all of the services provided by the staff of the house, all guest rooms have fresh fruit and flowers, while in the evening as you prepare for dinner, the beds are turned down, the lamps are lit and the drapes drawn. Awarded AA Hotel of the Year in 1999, Mount Juliet Conrad provides the highest international standards in food and service in a wonderfully relaxed and welcoming way.

The Lady Helen is located off the main foyer in Mount Juliet House. The Lady Helen is an exclusive formal dining establishment, once the private dining room for the McCalmont family. It is a grand and spacious room, with high ceilings and original plaster mouldings. The view from restaurant is spectacular, overlooking the flowing River Nore and hundreds of acres of landscape that make up Mount Juliet Estate. The seating capacity for The Lady Helen is 60 guests, with additional seating in the adjoining Tetratema Parlour for 30 guests. The Lady Helen and The Tetratema Parlour are both available for private functions. The Lady Helen is open for breakfast and dinner seven days a week, all year round.

The Spa at Mount Juliet Conrad opened on 1st August 2001. This was an eagerly-awaited addition to the current health facilities. The Spa is minimalist in design, providing the ideal environment in which to relax and unwind. The five treatment rooms offer a wide variety of treatments from the traditional to the alternative for both women and men. The unique 'Dead Sea Discovery' Flotation room offers an unparalleled relaxation experience while the purpose built relaxation room is the perfect place to end your Spa experience.

Opened in 1991 with a match featuring golfing legends Christy O'Connor Snr. and Jack Nicklaus, the beautiful and challenging Mount Juliet course has established itself as a premier golfing venue for Top Professionals and leisure golfers worldwide.
