The Bonham Hotel is a wonderful 4 star boutique property in the heart of Edinburgh's vibrant West End. Originally designed as city-centre townhouses by John Lessels in the late 19th Century, the hotel now offers 48 individually decorated, stylish & confortable guestrooms. Touted as one of the coolest hotels in Edinburgh, you'll certainly enjoy an uplifting contemporary ambiance within the classic timelessness of a Victorian townhouse. Unusual features are found throughout the hotel, including an original Edwardian copper bath in one of the superior rooms and a distinctive crimson spiral sofa-bench at Reception. The Bonham also houses a permanent art collection, featuring the works of approximately 30 local 'up and coming' Scottish artists.
At the Bonham Hotel, size doesn't matter. Even in the most intimate rooms, you get a queen-sized bed and a lot of contemporary flair and personality.
Guestrooms are fun, colourful, relaxing and expertly styled. As with all the public areas of The Bonham, the rooms contain the work of some of our favourite up-and-coming artists, from Edinburgh and beyond. And the sheets are so soft that you simply won't want to get up in the morning!

French Tradition & Scottish Zest
The food at 'Restaurant at the Bonham' is rooted in the French tradition, and given zest with expertly sourced, seasonal Scottish produce. French Head Chef, Michel Bouyer, has been awarded two coveted AA rosettes at the restaurant, in recognition of his creative flair and the skilful way in which he has reinterpreted classic French cooking using Scotland's abundant natural larder. The hotel also has an excellent, well-edited wine list to complement what Michel produces from the kitchen.
Restaurant at the Bonham is characterised by sophisticated urban styling. Aside from some striking and dramatic art work by Tilo Stengel, the restaurant design is cool and minimal, so that you can focus on the food, the company and the occasion.
About Edinburgh City
Edinburgh knows how to welcome travelers with grace and charm. She also knows how to kick up her heels and enjoy a nice shot of Scotch Whisky after a festival. The hill that Edinburgh Castle stands upon has been Scotland’s remarkable silent witness since the Bronze Age.
Today her streets are filled with cutting-edge galleries and museums, tributes to the love of literature and music, fine cuisine, quirky shops, theater, and an extravagance of festivals. Four ancient streets, called the Royal Mile, are the main thoroughfare. Running through medieval Edinburgh with her 66 alleys, tumbling shops, cobblestones, and tight homes the Royal Mile takes you to New Town. Here you’ll stroll through fine gardens, perfect Georgian architecture and broad squares.
The mix of time, while lost in time, is a heady brew. There may be no finer city than Edinburgh Scotland, to participate in the gifts of the past with an eye to a brilliant future.
