The Garden Room Restaurant:
The Malton's classic Garden Room Restaurant showcases the best tastes of the Kerry countryside, all under the great gilded dome of tyhe hotels original stunning Victorian dining room. Enjoy warm baked bread from The Malton Bakery while the hotels' sommelier presents you the perfect bottle from the wine cellar. The menu features an exciting mix of traditional recipes, artfully prepared with a modern twist. Head chef John O'Leary can often be seen on pilgrimage to local markets and farms, buying the very freshest of seasonal fruit and vegetables. These local specialties are highlighted on the menu. Peppers A La Carte Restaurant:
Peppers Steak & Seafood Grill is The Malton's à la carte restaurant. Chef John O’Leary has this to say about the new menu: "All our steaks are locally sourced, dry aged for mature flavour and texture and cooked to perfection on our charcoal grill. Our finest cuts are available in different weights and served with a selection of delicious house sauces - simple, delicious and the real deal. Join us and let us prove it!" The stylishly furnished dining room seems to glow with soft lighting, rich colours, and intelligent service. The Punchbowl Bar:
Here in The Malton's signature bar, the food continues the hotel's ethos of serving only imaginative, fresh, local food. Surrounded by soft colours, it's easy to relax in these classic, traditional rooms. Two blazing fires, soft, velvety sofas and friendly service top the experience. It's easy to pass a whole afternoon in front of the fire - without once looking at your watch - sipping a pint and reading the paper. Food is served from noon until late. About Killarney Town
On the Map: Killarney is located in County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. The town is reached via the N22 from Tralee/ Limerick (to the north) and the N22 from Cork City (to the southeast).
Killarney lies on the edge of the astoundingly beautiful Killarney National Park, with its three magnificent lakes and the spectacular MacGillycuddy Reeks mountain range. The park is also home to Muckross House and Gardens. Killarney is a wonderful base for all manner of activities including angling and water sports, golf, riding, orienteering, hiking, cycling, and canoeing. The town itself is quite small but full of charm - this you will soon see as you walk down the brick footpaths and pass curious old-style shop fronts. Killarney is well known for its excellent shops, restaurants and cosmopolitan appeal.
