Meridian Restaurant Galway:

Dine fireside at the intimate Meridian Restaurant - consistently recognized for the quality of the dining experience it offers. Menus are brought to you by a team of dedicated chefs, who use the best local & seasonal ingredients, to produce wonderful, modern Irish fare. Menus are complimented by an eclectic wine list, offering a great range of wines from around the world.

The Westwood Bar:

For a less formal evening, dine-in or retire to the split-level Westwood Bar, where you can mingle with guests and locals alike. The friendly staff, excellent drinks list and extensive bar menu ensure a relaxing and pleasant visit. Food is served from 10.30am to 9.00pm daily with an extensive Carvery Menu from 12.00pm to 2.30pm. All major sporting occasions are shown on one of the two large flat screen televisions and entertainment is provided on many weekends of the year.

About Galway City

Galway has been commercially important since the 11th century when it was a centre for trade with Spain and Portugal. In 1477 Christopher Columbus paid a visit. Galway earned the title “City of the Tribes” around that time, when it was ruled by 14 wealthy merchant families. Today it is lively, with loads of things to do, and is so popular that it can get very crowded in summer, especially during the annual Galway Races. The annual Arts Festival also attracts thousands, especially for its street parade, organized by the multi-award winning production company, Macnas. Its famous Druid Theatre produces and stages plays and has toured internationally, winning awards, including Tonys on Broadway.
