The Rock Glen Hotel was built in 1815 and is beautifully located on 50 acres of meadow land between the shoreline of Ardbear Bay and Connemara's Twelve Pines mountain range.  It is situated just south of Clifden on the west coast of Ireland. Originally built in 1815 as a hunting lodge, the Hotel has an unrivalled view of the Twelve Bens mountain range as you look over Ardbear Bay - the perfect location to get away from it all.
All bedrooms have been beautifully decorated and include the full range of modern facilities for convenience and comfort. The hotels tastefully decorated restaurant provides the perfect setting for a relaxing meal at the end of a busy day. Specializing in modern Irish cooking with a French influence, the hotel uses as much local produce as possible with an emphasis on seafood with local scallops, oysters and lobster all featuring on our a la carte menu.
Leisure activities include an all weather tennis court, putting green and snooker room. Close by is the championship Connemara 18 hole golf links. Horse riding, pony trekking and fishing can be arranged locally. There are miles of sandy beaches for safe swimming and boat trips to the Aran Islands and Inishbofin leave every day. The 27 bedrooms all have facilities en-suite, 14 of which are on the ground floor. Each room has a TV, radio, trouser press, hair-dryer and direct dial telephone.
