The ideal base for your tour of Connemara, Lough Inagh Lodge is surrounded by famous "beauty spots", including the Twelve Bens mountain range and the Connemara National Park.  Kylmore Abbey is also located nearby.

In common with most of Connemara, the area surrounding Lough Inagh was owned by the Martins of Ballynahinch Castle from the mid-seventeenth century to the Great Famine of 1845-48. Later it was purchased by Richard Berridge, a London brewer, who built the hotel as a fishing lodge in the 1880s. Down through the years, Lough Inagh Lodge was to pass to the Tenant family, and then to Carroll Industries. The present owners took possession of Lough Inagh Lodge in 1989.

By the way, if you fish or shoot you'll find the old Lough Inagh Lodge record books fascinating reading! You can read and relax too in the sitting room where you can enjoy morning coffee & afternoon tea.  And when your long day is over, you'll retire to your comfortable, spacious bedroom which has spectacular views over Lough Inagh and The Twelve Bens mountains. All 12 rooms (4 deluxe and 8 superior) are ensuite, elegantly furnished and all rooms have a television set and a comfortable seating area. Each bedroom is en-suite and includes a separate dressing room.
