Christina has lived in Ireland for most of her life, with the exception of a five year period during which she lived in Paris, France.  Christina is very adventurous when it comes to food, but puts her foot down on the subject of black pudding.  Although she adores other meaty elements of a full Irish breakfast (sausages, bacon), black pudding is just not for her!  She dares you to try it and let her know what you think…

Christina’s Favorite Part of Ireland – Glendalough, County Wicklow:

‘Glendalough means The Valley of The Two Lakes, in the native Irish tongue. Aside even from the 6th century monastic site for which Glendalough is famous, the whole area is rich in history & archaeology and offers some of the most beautiful views in the country. Glendalough is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park, and the atmosphere there varies quite significantly, depending on during which season you visit. A sunny, dry day in autumn is my favourite time to visit Glendalough. Wrap up in cosy warm clothes, go for a walk and make sure you don’t forget your camera - you’ll be sorry if you don’t capture photos of the amazing colours and views all around you!’

Christina’s Top Tip for Visitors to Ireland:

‘If you get lost, don’t be shy about asking a random passer-by for assistance. The vast majority of Irish people love to chat, and are only too delighted to help tourists with directions. The Irish friendliness and hospitality for which we’re famous is not a tall tale!’
