Greetings from Ireland!
Time for Wooly Hats
Dia dhiabh and welcome to the November 2007 issue of Deals and Tales, Authentic Ireland’s highly unpredictable monthly newsletter. You never know when it is going to show up in your inbox. The best you can say is that eventually it always does.
This month we visit Ennis, Bunratty and east Clare for our “When in” series, we’ve got a crash course in Irish for those looking to impress the locals while in Ireland and we unveil our Christmas special, a 6 day spring break put together with pampering and relaxation in mind and sold at a scandalously low price.
Speaking of Christmas – I’m sorry, but there’s no point denying it any longer, it is just around the corner – we would like to remind you of the best Christmas present we know of: an Authentic Ireland Gift Voucher.

Ok, no need to panic there’s a few shopping weeks to go yet. Deep breaths, sit back, relax, you’re in reasonably safe hands:

I saw this short film recently – the title means My Name is Yu Ming - in which a bored Chinese store clerk by the name of Yu Ming decides on a whim to learn everything he can about Ireland. After six months listening to language tapes he is pretty fluent in Irish and decides to make use of it by moving to Ireland. His plane touches down in Dublin, but much to his dismay no one can understand him, certainly not the Australian hostel manager. The Dublin barman where he looks for work thinks he is speaking Chinese! Thankfully, an old codger at the end of the bar who speaks Irish overhears and explains to our hero that English is the language of Ireland, and Irish is only spoken in some remote parts of the west. But, asks the still confused kid, why are all the signs in Irish?

| Christmas Special: A Luxury Spring Getaway for you or or loved one! |
|
This year for Christmas we have decided to create a special luxury spring itinerary and sell it at a rock bottom price. The catch? You must book before December 31, 2007 and you must travel before April 30th, 2008. We all know how welcome and refreshing a break can be after a long winter. Well how about spending 6 days relaxing in Ireland this spring? Book your escape now, come March or April you will be congratulating yourself for being so wise. And boy have we created the perfect break! We have kept driving distances to a minimum so you spend less time behind the wheel more time relaxing. The itinerary combines the spectacular scenery and lively towns and villages of the Kingdom of Kerry with hotels and guesthouses renowned for friendliness, luxury and homely comforts. In fact, we are so confident you will love this tour we have named it Six Days in Heaven. Check out the detailed tour itinerary here: http://www.authenticireland.com/packages/heaven.htm
And remember, a 20% deposit is all that is required to book. The balance you pay 60 days before you travel.

| When in Ennis, Bunratty & East Clare |
|
While the west of County Clare is well known for splendid beaches, the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin, central and east Clare is more often than not just a stopping off point on the way to or from Shannon airport. Maybe a jet lagged night in Ennis on arrival or perhaps a tear soaked night in Bunratty before returning home. Sound familiar? Well, you are missing out and this month we aim to make you see the error of your ways. So without further to do here are six East Clare offers you will not be able to refuse:
