Your Personal Ireland Expert: Nora O'Loughlin

Nora was born and raised in Ennis, County Clare, but did not live her whole life in our lovely town! Nora spent 10 years working at The Hilton Hotel in San Francisco. She thoroughly enjoyed working in the hotel business and San Francisco will always have a special place in her heart. One of the things Nora loved most about her time in the U.S. was travelling around the great country. Hawaii, New York, The Grand Canyon & Lake Tahoe were firm favourites, but Scottsdale AZ gets special mention for its wonderful spa retreats!

Nora's Favorite Part of Ireland - County Clare's West Coast:

'I am an active person and simply love being out in the fresh air. For me, nowhere can compare to the coast of County Clare. The towns of Lahinch & Doolin are great for a day out, and the Cliffs of Moher are simply not to be missed.'

Nora's Top Tip for Visitors to Ireland:

'I actually have a few quick top tips!: Definitely visit Doolin & The Cliffs of Moher. If time allows, Dingle & Kenmare are personal favourites too. Rent a GPS device if driving a rental car, and be sure to sample some Guinness'

We had a WONDERFUL time in Ireland. Each place was more magical than the last. Our favorite experience was by far the Dingle Peninsula. We spent one gorgeous sunny day driving around and got to see so much of rural Ireland. We really fell in love with it!

The warm, friendly, helpful Irish people are top of my list. One young man opened his cafe early so we could have a bite of lunch and then he told us about a concert at a church in Dingle for people who really don't enjoy the PUB scene every night. The concert was just wonderful!
