| DAY 1: Glin Castle, Glin |

| Glin Castle , one of Ireland’s most historic properties, has been in the FitzGerald family for over 700 years. The home of the Knight of Glin and his wife Madam FitzGerald, this magnificent castle stands on the banks of the River Shannon amidst 500 acres of woods and gardens. Glin Castle food is Irish country house cooking at its best. Dine off freshly caught fish and locally reared beef and lamb. Vegetables and fruit are grown in the castle's organic walled garden. Glin village, which boasts the most traditional pub in Ireland, is at the front gate. |
