Rebecca has a great love of travelling, and this really comes across in the enthusiastic and practical assistance she provides to Authentic Ireland customers. Rebecca loves to meet new people while on vacation, but also likes to hear familiar Irish accents in foreign countries. So while she really loves the buzz of travelling to new places, Rebecca freely admits to being a ‘homebird’ at heart! Rebecca also confesses to not being the most adventurous person in the world, although she is willing to try most things at least once!

Rebecca’s Favorite Part of Ireland – Westport, County Mayo:

‘I never get tired of visiting Westport. It’s an absolutely great spot for traditional Irish music and Matt Molloy’s pub in particular is always a must-visit establishment. I also very much recommend taking a day-trip to Achill Island from Westport. The mountains and scenery there are really quite breathtaking, but keep one eye on the road as sheep are prone to wandering onto the street. They can be quite stubborn, and generally don’t like to be harassed out of “their turf” by passing traffic!’

Rebecca’s Top Tip for Visitors to Ireland:

‘Bring good, comfortable footwear as well as rainproof clothing. It’s very important to be as comfortable as you can while you are sightseeing during the day, and it is likely that you will experience a variety of weather conditions in Ireland, regardless of the month in which you visit. We Irish do like to dress up when hitting the town on a Friday or Saturday night, and although dress codes are virtually unheard of, perhaps you may want to bring one or two fancier outfits if you plan on dining out.’
