Learn in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on the scenic southwest coast.
Aside from its surrounding natural beauty and coastal splendour, Dingle is also well known for its traditional music. Now you can participate in Irish music yourself in a unique and completely enjoyable way at the Dingle Music School in the heart of Dingle. There are many sessions open to visitors, and one of the aims of the school is to make Irish music as accessible as possible. Instead of just buying a tin whistle or bodhrán as a souvenir you can actually learn how to start playing these typical Irish instruments even if you have an hour or two to spare. What better way to get to know more about Irish music at first hand and take home a truly authentic part of Irish culture that will stay with you forever.

About the Class
Classes at Dingle Music School last for one hour and can accommodate a maximum of 9 people.
The Music School is pleased to specialise in the easy and accessible learning of Irish music on the tin whistle and bodhrán (pronounced ‘bow-rawn’, the round Irish drum played with a stick!) Tin whistles and bodhráns are always available in the school or if you prefer, you can bring your own. Bookings are taken for an hour's individual tuition on either instrument, at a very reasonable price. Groups and families are catered for - children are always welcome too, and really enjoy the music lessons. You will be surprised at how much you can learn even in a short time and how good it feels to make a start on these most traditional of Irish instruments.
For learning, improving and established whistle and bodhrán players, we can arrange tailor-made tin whistle tuition and individual bodhrán lessons in Dingle to suit your needs. In our opinion, an authentic music learning experience is the perfect enhancement to any stay on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula.
