The Old Presbytery is a charming guesthouse located in the heart of charming Kinsale Town. This lovely Georgian house is located on a quiet street offering private parking in the town centre. It is very close to the Old Courthouse and Wine Museum in Desmond Castle. The Old Presbytery Guesthouse is almost 200 years old, and in times gone by was the residence of the priests of nearby St. John The Baptist Parish Church. The atmosphere at The Old Presbytery is serene and full of character. Rooms are furnished with old Irish pine and big comfy antique brass beds.

The rooms in the original house have been upgraded and while retaining their old world charm have modern bathrooms, some with Jacuzzi tubs. Some rooms also have balconies and a Sun Room has been added to one of the rooms so that the view may be enjoyed whatever the weather. All rooms are furnished with antique brass and iron beds, lovely linens and interesting Irish pine.

Your hosts at The Old Presbytery provide a sumptuous Full Irish Breakfast each morning.

A ‘Full Irish Breakfast’ typically consists of bacon (rashers!), sausages, black & white pudding, eggs, toast, tea or coffee.
A selection of cereals, fruit & juices are also available to those who may not wish to start their day with too much salty meat!

‘We use locally sourced, organic and free range produce wherever possible. We are spoilt for choice with the freshest of fish from Kinsale, superb West Cork farmhouse cheeses, organic free range eggs from our local farm, and the best of Irish bacon from Cork’s famous English market. We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements – just let us know!’

Kinsale Town

On the Map: Kinsale is located in County Cork on Ireland’s southern coast. From the main N71 road connecting Cork City (to the north) & Skibbereen/ Bantry (to the west), Kinsale is accessible via a variety of country roads.

Located just 16 miles from Cork City in a naturally protected harbour, Kinsale is one of the most picturesque, popular and fashionable towns on the southwest coast. Kinsale is a centre for yachting, sea angling, gourmet eating and golf. Restaurants in Kinsale pride themselves on their high reputation for culinary expertise, and the Good Food Circle has been organizing a Gourmet Festival here every autumn for over 25 years. A charming town, its narrow streets are steeped in history and its harbour is always full of boats. Visit the museum housed in the French Prison or, just outside the town, the star-shaped Charles Fort with its spectacular views, before retiring to one of the town’s many cozy atmospheric pubs.
