CIE Tours: Booking Terms & Conditions


Please email the following details to your Assigned Authentic Vacations Agent, then call 888-443-5259 with your credit card details to confirm your tour reservation:

1.    Your name(s) EXACTLY as they appear on your passports (Airlines will charge fees of up to US$500 per person if changes are needed)
2.    Your date(s) of birth
3.    Your passport numbers, issue and expiration dates and country of Citizenship (if reserving flights)
4.    An emergency contact name and number of someone not traveling with you.
5.    Your Mailing/Billing Address
6.    Your chosen room type – You may choose a Double Room (one bed for two people) or a Twin Room (two separate beds for two people)
7.    Any specific dietary requirements
8.    Any seating preferences if booking airfare – please note we can request, but not guarantee specific seats

DEPOSIT PAYMENTS (once you have provided the requested information above, please call 888-443-5259 to make your payment):

Land Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required for coach tours. Full payment must be made no later than 70 days prior to departure. If payment is not received as scheduled, the reservation will automatically cancel and deposit payment become forfeit.
Airfare: Full payment is required to purchase your airline tickets. Airfares are non-refundable.
Travel Insurance: If you wish to purchase insurance, this must be purchased at the same time you pay your deposit. It cannot be added later.


All cancellations & date changes must be advised in writing (by mail, fax or e-mail) to your Assigned Authentic Vacations Agent prior to tour departure. 
All airfares require instant purchase and are non-refundable. No refunds can be made for non-refundable airfares.
Cancellations relating to the Land portion of your tour are subject to the following penalties:

    70 days or longer: Forfeiture of Deposit
    69 – 46 days: 25%
    45 – 8 days: 35%
    7 – 1 days: 50%
    On departure Day: 100%

Medieval Banquet Cancellations: Cancellation fees on banquets are $25 per person.
Land Revision Fee: Any revision to land arrangements made after the original booking has been processed will incur a $50 handling fee per booking. If clients cancel from one tour and rebook on another tour or another date, a cancellation fee may apply. We cannot accept revisions within 14 days of departure or once we have issued documents.

Our passengers pay in US dollars and know that almost everything has been covered. Our trained personnel take care of all the details. If you are considering a self drive vacation, we suggest that you compare coach tour prices as they offer better value for money when overall daily costs are considered.

No Hidden Extras: CIE Tours does not believe in offering “optional” extras when you are on vacation. This policy allows your tour director to focus totally on your needs rather than selling optional tours. Check our “Tour Includes” panel for each vacation to see the exciting features that are included. Note that all of our tours in Scotland feature a Scottish evening with dinner and entertainment, all passengers staying in Edinburgh when the Tattoo is operating in August receive prime reserved seats for this exciting event. And in Ireland our tours include Irish cabaret dinner and show in Dublin and/or Medieval Banquet in Shannon. So check each itinerary to see what is covered — these features could add up to hundreds of dollars if purchased separately.

Guaranteed Prices: We guarantee that no increase in land costs will be charged to you, once you have paid the deposit for your tour. This is your protection against international currency fluctuations. When you have paid for your airfare in full, there will be no change in the cost of the ticket.
