Amazing Trip to Ireland
Aisling did an excellent job, prepared and booked our 15 day honeymoon in Ireland! All the hotels were gorgeous, rental car pick up and drop off were painless. We traveled around the entire country and enjoyed all of the amazing scenery and friendly locals! I would recommend AuthenticIreland and Aisling to anyone looking to book their next trip overseas. 5 Stars, 100% Satusfied!
Simply Amazing and Worry Free
I just returned from this amazing adventure. Authentic Ireland made this vacation simple and worry free. I am ready to book my next vacation.
We have recently returned from a wonderful excursion of 2 weeks planned by Emma Tancred. She was responsive, understood our objectives, and made great suggestions to customize our itinerary. . Emma arranged the car, the insurance, accommodations from B+B's to lovely hotels, a car and driver to Newgrange. Our self drive tour began after spending 3 days in Dublin; then on to the Wicklow Mountains, Kilkenny, Kinsale, Kenmare, Doolin, and Galway.. We have experienced Ireland in all its magic and wonder. Thank you, Emma. You have our highest recommendation.
Scotland in November
Having just returned from our ten day tour of Scotland, I have had a few days to reflect on a wonderful journey. We were so impressed with the accommodations .con booked for us. Every one was exceptional. Our only suggestion for future travelers is not to stay in downtown Glasgow if you are driving a rental vehicle. We were given poor directions by the hotel staff and ended up driving around for about twenty minutes trying to find the parkade for which the hotel validated. We parked finally in one that apparently was the wrong one, and after a ten minute walk back to the hotel, were told they couldn’t reimburse us. It was 22£ that we needn’t have spent had the hotel clerk been clearer in her directions. To be fair, our information from the travel company did give directions to the appropriate car park, but a strange city can be confusing. It was a minor disruption in a fabulous trip. We had a great vehicle, and enjoyed the people, the food and the fabulous scenery along the way. Thanks Con for your sightseeing suggestions. We learned a lot of Scottish history. Some of the sites were closed for the winter, but we never ran out of things to see and do. The guest house owners were particularly friendly and helpful. We will return!
2 day whirlwind tour of Dublin
I recently had a short, whirlwind trip to Dublin, Ireland, on my way to Cardiff, Wales where I was traveling to take a 3 day course. Dublin was wonderful! My first visit! Loved it!! No problems!! Can't wait to return.
Interestingly, traveling over on Aer Lingus, the day after Thanksgiving, the flight was almost empty, for whatever reason. Only about 50 of us onboard. That made for excellent inflight service!
Weather was ok, nice sunny days, and a bit on the chilly side (low to mid 30's) but was not a problem. while I currently live in southern California and have adapted to the Mediterranean climate, I am from the Great Lakes and cold weather generally doesn't bother me. I adapted!
Maggie arranged for me to ride the "Hop on" bus which worked out very nicely! You can 'hop on' and 'hop off'' as you please, for 1 fare. Took the tour of Dublin the morning of my first full day there! Saw it all. Then, after returning to my hotel, the Davenport, which is quite charming, I bravely set out on foot to see what I could see. They speak English, and I can read a map, and I had a wonderful time exploring. 🙂 I might add that I had ongoing problems trying to connect to any networks while there. The hotel network was down. Fortunately, I am able to function without the iPhone 🙂 ...so I adapted and it all worked out. I stepped into a souvenir store and got on their network to send emails and photos home. Saw many places...Grafton St, the Cathedral, the Guinness Tour, Trinity College, the Book of Kell's tour, the Whiskey Tour, the National Gallery...I fit a lot into 2 days...
Yes, I will have to return when I have more time, because there is SO much to see! But I have learned to take advantage of the opportunities that life presents...so I jumped at this chance to see a little bit of Ireland!
it was pointed out to me before leaving that Ireland is on the Euro, and the rest of the UK is on the Pound...so I needed Euros for Dublin then got UK currency in pounds when arriving in Cardiff.
Can't wait to return... 🙂
Must use Authentic Ireland
Lauren our vacation planner made all of or Ireland Dreams come completely true. We could not have asked for a better planned vacation anywhere. Our self drive tour took us through the most beautiful places in the world. We will use Lauren and Authentic Ireland again for our next trip without doubt! Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.
Our Ireland vacation was a most enjoyable one. The self driven tour was everything we expected and more. Every B&B provided excellent service and the accommodations were top notch. Jordan was able accommodate our request to include a trip to Inishturk island. My wife was able to make contact with relatives she met for the first time. We are so thankful to Jordan for planning everything and making the adjustments we needed. Excellent service! We will definitely recommend Authentic Ireland to our friends.
A magical vacation
Maggie set up an incredible itinerary. We stayed in beautiful hotels and experienced amazing sites that covered a wide array of the best that Ireland has to offer. She worked with me to customize the trip and the information she sent made negotiating the travel and choosing sites to visit very easy. There was not a single glitch. I recommend using Authentic Ireland without reservation.
Glad we used Authentic Ireland
My wife and I wanted to take a trip to the British Isles for our 25th anniversay. We used Authentic Ireland to help plan our itinerary for 12 days in London, Edinburgh, and various locations in Ireland. Kati Lepisto, from AI, arranged for all of our lodging as well as the rental car in Ireland. She included a tour of the Scottish Highlands, and also recommended other activities to round out our trip. Everything worked out perfectly.
All of the hotels recommended by Kati were wonderful, and I was impressed with her thorough and helpful communication both before and during our trip.
Thank you Kati and Authentic Ireland!
Jordan and the staff at Authentic Ireland listened to our needs and planned a fantastic trip for us . We did the self drive and had no problems what so ever including, all hotels, B&B, Car and pre Paid sightseeing. We did a southern loop including Dublin, Kilkenny, Cork county, Kalarney, the western coasts up to Galway and Connemara. venturing off the beaten path was the best of all. Get yourself lost on a country road and stop to talk to local farmers..They love it and provide great advice for a few secret spots! Thanks again Jordan. We will use and recommend you in the future!
Edna assisted in planning a dream trip to Ireland for me and my friends, and I could not have been happier with the experience! From the beginning, Edna understood our desire to travel across Ireland on a small budget. She was quick to respond to my questions and willing to make last-minute adjustments when our plans changed. She reserved a rental car for us which was unbelievably easy to pick up and drop off and booked us at B&Bs with comfortable rooms, friendly hosts, and fabulous food. Ireland must be the most stunning place on earth, and I can't thank Edna and Authentic Ireland enough for sending me to this magical place.
I hope to begin planning a trip to Scotland soon and will certainly be using their services!
A Great London & Scotland Visit
Another wonderful vacation made possible by Con Jager and Authentic Ireland! A trip full of history, beautiful places and friendly people is all anyone should hope for and that is what we found for two weeks. The hotels/B & B's/castles were great places to rest after busy days of tours, visits, and walking all over London and the English and Scottish countryside. Our guides and chauffeur were both teachers and pals for happy hours and days of busy but relaxed enjoyment. Thank you Con
I had a wonderful experience with Authentic Ireland. This was the first international trip we've taken and Kati made it easy and very special. She worked with me to incorporate everything we wanted to see and do, took care of all the details, responded quickly, and answered all my questions. All we had to do was show up and have a great time. I highly recommend planning your next trip wherever it may be through Authentic Ireland. Thank you, Kati!
The trip that Emma planned was absolutely amazing! The only thing I would've wished for was a place closer to the city center in Galway, but that's because I preferred parking and walking.
Having two full days in Dublin before picking up the rental car allowed plenty of time to go to the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Trinity College, and shop along Grafton Street.
Each of the hotels and B&Bs were comfortable. Breakfasts were extremely filling. The suggestions for site seeing, both in the cities and along the route were great.
Communication with Emma was wonderful. Any questions that I thought of were answered quickly.
I would definitely recommend Authentic Ireland to anyone planning a trip, and would definitely use them again in the future.
Fantastic Ireland Trip
Michaela helped us plan an amazing trip to Ireland. She was so helpful and gave us insider insight of where the locals go. We loved the hotels she booked us in. Our favorite was the Malton Hotel - pure luxury. We definitely want to go back and see more of Ireland. Will be sure to use Michaela again as she was so attentive and responsive to all our planning questions and was even quick to answer questions while we were abroad. Thank you for making our trip so special.
Finally took the leap to travel far and large to Ireland after years of wanting to go. As a solo, first time out of country traveler, I knew it would be overwhelming to put together plans, as i wanted to travel all around southern Ireland, from Dublin, to Cork, to the western coasts of Galway. Then I found this website and had the absolute pleasure to meet Edna, who went beyond measures to simplify, explain and just overall help with everything that I could've needed. I came home with nothing but a feeling of satisfaction with everything that was put together for me by her and Authentic Ireland, and very accomplished 2017 summer. Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you!
Unique Irish Experience
Lisa and Robin helped us plan a truly magical trip to Ireland! From the moment we landed we had a smile on our faces and aww in our hearts! The Irish people have got the be the friendliest people on earth and that certainly continues into the hotels/lodging where we stayed. We felt so welcome and so special at each place! Treated like royalty!
The hundreds of pictures we took could never do justice to how truly beautiful and breathtaking the landscape is!
We have memories that will last a lifetime!
And the best part was that our trip ended with a magical marriage proposal in front of a hidden castle on the beach! Could not have asked for a more perfect trip!
American Born, Irish Strong
ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY MINUTE & PENNY: Definitely at the top of our Trips of a Lifetime. Authentic Ireland Rep Aisling put together the "perfect" trip for us. She listened and put together a two week driving ourselves tour for us: Adare, Cork, Killarney, Galway, Westport, Donegal and Bunratty. Wonderful B & Bs that made us feel at home and a couple of nice hotels in Cork & Galway. We definitely tried to stay off the beaten paths to be out in rural areas and along the Wild Atlantic Way. We found many smaller, local Pubs in our driving to stop and have a great taste. Mixed in we saw many of the more popular sites and many not so heavily trafficed. The Folk Village out on the tip of the land, west of Donegal through many small villages and areas, was one of the most exciting tours for us. Beautiful scenery and time to stop and enjoy, We saw the CLIFFS from a distance, but didn't venture down the road as we wound our way. We would advise travelers doing their own driving tour to spend more for the International data package on your phones or I-pads to have current & reliable GPS. Had we but known, it would have been cheaper and more reliable than the NeverLost unit we did add to our rental vehicle.
The trip that Edna of Authentic Ireland put together for our family for August 2017 was awesome. We challenged her with a multi city, "experience Ireland", request with a tight time table and she delivered. The accommodations were a great mixture of B+B and in city hotels, the suggestions for sight seeing were on target, and the service from AI has been great. I started doing this trip myself...and what a waste of time. Such a smooth trip...I have no "bad travel" material for the xmas letter this year. Thanks.
Perfect amount of structure and freedom!
We have been home for a week and are still excited to tell others about the incredible time we had in Scotland. Our agent Con helped us to create a great plan and did a flawless job arranging all the details! The best part is my wife is already thinking about where we can go next! Definitely recommend Authentic Ireland.
