Absolutely fabulous trip!
We found Emma in an online search and so thankful we did. She was so detailed and had everything completely set up before we left for Ireland. Anytime I had any questions I had an email and a phone number to get in touch with someone. Everything went smoothly and would highly recommend this tour company.
We went to Ireland to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had zero ideas on where to go and what to do so I did a little research and found Authentic Ireland. Kati Lepisto was my traveler planner and designed an excellent travel plan for my wife and I! We are going to go back to Ireland in a couple of years to re-visit all the places we thoroughly enjoyed and will use AI again! I have already suggested to my parents to use AI for their Irish holiday. You can't go wrong with this agency and Kati is the BEST!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about authenticireland.com Michaela helped us to put together the perfect 7 day tour . We had clear directions that helped us get from location to location. The castles were perfect, the suggested itinerary was helpful. It was just perfect!
A dream come true
This vacation was a dream come true for us. We have always wanted to see the Emerald Isle and to explore the ancient Celtic Druid ruins and castles as well as experience the life of the locals and this was it! Our travel agent Maggie was terrific. She booked us the exact vacation we were dreaming of. And we even got an upgrade! We stayed at a very charming and serene cottage in Ard Na Mara holiday homes in Dingle. We were able to cook our breakfast and dinners there and we had a rental car that we took out on day trips . We saw so much of the country just by driving from town to town, We only had one glitch, when we arrived in Dingle it was very late and raining and we did not know the cottage house number but we were told to look for the front office and the manager would be waiting there. There was no front office but it turned out that the owner of the Bnb nearby knew the manager and they called her for us and all was well. The locals every town we went to were super friendly and driving wasn't nearly as scary as we thought it would be, it was actually very pleasant to drive on their roads and the other drivers are polite and they let you pass them if you are going faster then they are. We are already making plans to visit again and we will do the exact same itinerary!
Great Vacation in Ireland
We had a great 20 day tour of Ireland. We started with a 4 night bus tour of Ireland that was well put together by Authentic Vacations. We then conducted our own self guided tour which was put together for us by Lonny. She did a great job at arranging our itinerary and finding good B&B`s, hotels and even one night in a castle. We will never forget our trip to Ireland and would highly recommend working with Authentic Vacations and specifically Lonny.
Maggie helped us out on setting up a great trip! We loved all of the hotels she picked out for us. We did a two day Dublin hop on hop off. We then did a self driving tour through Killarney, Kilkenny, and Dromoland, which we loved. Then we flew and spent 2 days in Scotland.we wished we would have packed less and stayed another night at the Dromoland Castle! Disappointed in the heroes tour in Scotland-should have just stayed and walked Edinburg but other than that, the trip went off spectacularly! Will set up another trip through Authentic Ireland!
Con Jäger was our travel advisor. His planning exceeded expectations and made for a stress-free vacation. It was obvious that our travel route and selection of B&B's was based upon years of experience booking Ireland and Scotland locations. I would recommend this service to anyone visiting the UK. A vacation to remember!
Authentic Vacation Does It Right!
Aisling was the perfect agent to plan and carry out our trip to Ireland. Hotel bookings were perfect; our driver, Kevin, was very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. This road trip through Ireland was like the country itself — ENCHANTING!
Ireland Roadtrip - Excellent Adventure
Emma was our lifeline in Ireland, helping us all the way with bookings and answers. Even through numerous changes she came through like a winner. We're happy we chose to use Authentic Ireland. We would recommend them to any "first timers". Try to get to the Wild Atlantic Way for some of the most beautiful driving in the world. The further north you travel, the more spectacular it gets!
My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Our agent, Megan, was extremely helpful and booked a wonderful vacation despite our vague requests. We landed in Dublin and then headed over to the West coast. Megan coordinated everything so well that it was easy and stress-free. Dingle was by far our favorite town, the views on the drive in alone were worth the trip. We are in love with Ireland and its people and can't wait to visit again! Thank you again to Megan for coordinating such a magical vacation for us!
Trip of a lifetime
Maggie Lunde did an excellent job tailoring our trip. It more than met our expectations. The accommodations were outstanding, and the arrangements for the rental car created a seamless experience. Maggie was always available to answer questions and to take care of any concerns in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use Authentic Ireland again.
Excellent service! From the bookings assistance by Robin Gahan to our guide/driver SJames. Outstanding vacations!!!
Honeymoon for the ages
What can I say about my Honeymoon with the love of my life . . . amazing. We landed in Edinburgh Scotland and didn't stop moving and having fun and making memories. Megan our travel agent was so patient with me being so busy at my job and trying to facilitate all the things we wanted on our trip. The voucher program was awesome she didn't over load us which was nice, one or two experiences a day not too crazy. We wanted a honeymoon and we got one I honestly cant wait to go back and now I have an even better idea of what we want to do next time. All trips have their bumps in the road but I already voiced those with Megan and next time we book with her I will be a better more informed traveler. Over all best trip of my life and I am pretty sure my wife's too.
Robin of Authentic Ireland arranged the 11-day whirlwind castle and whiskey tour of the Highlands Region of Scotland for my wife and I. It was an amazing adventure and we found the Scottish people to be warm and inviting. It was as if we had never left home except the language barrier learning curve. In Alabama we talk a little different than most but it didn't take long for them to learn. After travelling all over the world from Australia to Asia and Europe, this trip to Scotland living in bed and breakfast was in my top 2 places I've visited and would return to live. Thanks Robin for the experience!!
All the arrangements by Catherine went so smoothly that we were amazed relaxed and happy throughout the 6th of May Through the 23rd of May. The guide, the itinerary, the hotels, but most of all the people made it a fantastic experience. No complaints what so ever
Authentic Ireland never disappoints! We just returned from our 4th vacation planned by Authentic Ireland. They have planned 3 trips to Ireland and one trip to Scotland for us. Con Jager was great, as always, in helping us plan our perfect vacation! We really appreciate their services and will be back in the future! Thank you so much....we had an amazing time and an incredible new journey!
For our first trip to Ireland, we had a fantastic time! We extended our trip by one day, and there was still so much that we were not able to see and do! We did the Best of Ireland Self-Drive Tour! Lonna Powers was a great to work with in planning our trip! She was extremely friendly and helpful in making travel decisions! She selected top-notch hotels for us and the breakfast each day was fabulous! We added one extra day in Dublin and really could have used a 3rd day in Dublin to see everything! We had the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus pass for 2 days, but after using it the first day, we realized that we would be able to see and do more with just walking! If you are in good walking shape, do not get the Hop-On-Hop-Off pass. It takes too long to move through the congested streets of Dublin! Walking is much better! Your hotel will be in the heart of everything! We got the smallest rental car available and trust me....that is EXACTLY what you want! The roads in Ireland are very narrow with high speed limits! The little car is great when you meet another car on the road! We did only carry-on bags, which made travelling super easy! We were able to have laundry done around the middle of our trip at a hotel, with a very reasonable rate! Highlights of the trip: Guinness Store House (I do not like beer, my husband LOVES it and we both really enjoyed the experience), Killarney area (I really could have stayed an extra 2 days in this area to see everything), Galway Bay Hotel and Salthill region was beautiful, Kerry Cliffs (we liked this area better than the famous Cliffs of Moher), The Jameson Experience in Midleton. The Lake Hotel in Killarney was our favorite hotel! Things I did not care for as much: Hop-on-Hop-Off Bus in Dublin (mentioned earlier), and the town of Cork (we did not do much in this town, it was really just a place to spend the night while we saw attractions all around the region. It was complicated to get to the hotel and we had to park pretty far away. Would have preferred something not in the heart of the city)! Great food too! We tried everything from fine dining, pub food, to gift shop food!
Our Vacation was outstanding. The hotel (City stay St. Augustine) in Dublin was centrally located to everything we wanted to visit. The staff there was courteous, and helpful. Our visit to Roscommon was grand, and our stay at Gleeson's B & B was also nice with great food.Authentic Ireland did a great job setting everything up, and making our vacation worry free.A million thanks to Lonna a job well done.
5 days in Ireland
Authentic Ireland was referred to me by a customer/friend of mine....and... i am so glad he did. We worked with Shannon, one of the representatives, and i couldn't be more happy with the experience and expertise that she had regarding details of our trip. I told her when we were arriving and leaving Ireland, what were the "must do" things during our stay, and what kind of accommodations we wanted to stay in. within a day or two, she had a full trip package, with other recommended things to do while there, sent to my email. the price was very reasonable, and after going on the trip, i appreciated the fact we used Authentic Ireland to get everything set up. kudos to the site and staff, especially Shannon. anytime i had a question, she had an answer. regarding car rental, electricity usage, what kind of money to keep on hand, anything... she was so much help. thank you so much!, you made our 20 year anniversary "holiday" that much better! the only thing i can even think about regretting, was that we didn't spend enough time there we spent the previous week in London, and think we should have cut that shorter and spent more time in Ireland... but.... that can be fixed by another visit! thanks again! your friends in Pennsylvania!
Had a great experience working with the Authentic Ireland associate! I probably asked 9 million questions (this being my first international trip I'd planned), and patience and courteousness definitely describes the person that personally handled my account. The trip was great as well, including an itinerary that was well chosen, then tweaked for us. Rental car was indeed perfect for our crew that was traveling, as well as the accommodations arranged for us. I'm more of a researcher, but the website definitely put me leaps ahead with suggested places to visit at our lodging locations, as well as places to stop along the way.One of the only things I would have done differently was the transportation for our time in Dublin. I was so glad that we did not rent a vehicle for Dublin, but the sightseeing bus tour passes were not the most convenient for our purposes, in retrospect. We would have been better served with normal city bus passes. I also would have passed on the castle stay in our trip, but perhaps we just caught them at a bad time, as everything was great there, except the smell of cat urine just on the outside of the side door near our room.Authentic Ireland definitely impressed both myself and the members of my family that joined us on this trip! Definitely recommend them! Really great trip and a good price!
