Money Saving Tips
Here are four great ways to save money on your trip to Ireland:
1. Come during the off-season
Tour prices – and airfares – are dramatically cheaper between October and April. The months of March, April and October can be quite pleasant and offer a good trade off between price and climatic conditions. Ireland’s climate is moderate – it rarely dips below freezing between November to February. If you come from somwhere that is snowy during the winter, Ireland’s weather will seem quite warm in comparison. Travelling in these months can save you 20% or more.
2. Increase the size of your group
The more people travelling with you, the lower the per person price will be. This is especially true of Chauffeur tours which can be very expensive for small groups. Two couples travelling together can expect to save 17% on a self-drive tour or a whopping 40% on a chauffeur tour. Larger groups can save even more.
3. Rent a manual or stick shift car
In Ireland automatic cars are considerably more expensive to rent than manual ones. If you can drive a manual you stand to save almost 10% on the price of your vacation. Simply tick Manual car type on the Get Quote form.
